This email brings the latest HOT News on “Ceremony – Creating the Experience” – the 2009 Biennial CANZ Conference. We have been delighted to receive your feedback on the first glimpses of the programme which were given when our official invitation was delivered via the Branch AGMs and Panui. Hopefully each Branch has taken up the challenge to find a way for its deputation to creatively introduce itself on the first evening.  Then there will be opportunities to participate in ceremonies of different kinds, hear from some of our 21 talented presenters, renew old friendships and forge new ones.

The registration brochures are with the graphic designer at present and will be posted out mid-May. Some workshops have limited places, so it pays to book early to get your first choice of the action. This is the best intensive, celebrant-focussed professional development opportunity you will get in a long time, and you can be assured we are working very hard to make it an experience not-to-be-missed!
 
Full registration for the weekend is $345 + $55 for the conference dinner and entertainment on the Saturday night.

A piece of inspiration from one member.... “I’m at the stage in life where I don’t want or need more ‘stuff’ but my family always complain I am hard to buy presents for. I’ve told them to make a contribution to me attending the CANZ Conference for my birthday this year”.

If you are coming from out of Auckland, consider extending your stay to take in some sights and sounds of the city.

Great international acts are on offer - Cirque du Soleil is presenting ‘Dralion’ at Alexandra Park, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Starlight Express’ is playing at the Vector Arena, and there’s shopping, music, great restaurants, beach/bush walks, wineries and many other attractions. Make it a winter break to restore body, mind and spirit!
